Savoring Life and Culture of H’mong Communities
Just about three hours of drive from the capital city Hanoi, the commune is in the northwestern part of Hoa Binh province, right inside the misty Hang Kia – Pa Co Nature Reserve. Amid the cool weather of the elevation around 1,000 meters, you will find H’mong villages surrounded by corn fields, plum and peach gardens and the green of the nature reserve.
Many places like Xa Linh market, hundreds year old Shan tea gardens, embroidery and beewax painting families, bamboo paper production and forest routes can be visited. Black H’mong people invite you to spend a night at their cozy homestays and taste the traditional cooked local food.
